What is Cody?

Cody is handing merchandising controls to merchants while quietly re-platforming its admin onto v2/v3 components.

Cody is shipping a steady stream of storefront merchandising and checkout work: image overlays with a criteria builder, tabbed product sliders, products surfaced inside navigation menus, and SEO overrides on navigation pages. In parallel, checkout is being hardened around Verifone — Google Pay added, then two reliability fixes behind it. Several features close with a note to contact an account manager, so this is a managed platform where new capability is enabled per site rather than self-served.

What is LitCommerce?

LitCommerce is running a migration land-grab on inkFrog's shutdown, entirely through blog posts.

Six entries, all marketing content, three of them aimed directly at inkFrog's June 1, 2026 shutdown: a switch pitch, a head-to-head comparison, and an alternatives roundup timed to the shutdown email sellers received on April 29. The rest is standard multichannel-selling SEO — eBay listing tool roundups, Walmart best-sellers, TikTok Shop alternatives. No product release appears anywhere.

5.0

Cody is handing merchandising controls to merchants while quietly re-platforming its admin onto v2/v3 components.

◆ Current state

Cody is shipping a steady stream of storefront merchandising and checkout work: image overlays with a criteria builder, tabbed product sliders, products surfaced inside navigation menus, and SEO overrides on navigation pages. In parallel, checkout is being hardened around Verifone — Google Pay added, then two reliability fixes behind it. Several features close with a note to contact an account manager, so this is a managed platform where new capability is enabled per site rather than self-served.

◆ Where it's heading

Two threads run through the current batch. The first is giving merchandisers rule-driven control they previously needed a developer for — overlays, slider tabs, and menu products all reuse the same criteria and Searchandising rankings rather than introducing separate configuration. The second is a version migration in progress: Page Builder v3, Promotions v2, and Checkout v2 all appear in a single window, with the Promotions rebuild explicitly functionality-neutral. Cody is modernising the admin surface underneath while adding merchandising levers on top.

◆ Prediction

With Promotions v2 rebuilt on updated interface components and no functional change attached, the remaining admin modules are the obvious next candidates for the same treatment. On the storefront side, the criteria builder now drives three separate features, so expect it to be extended to further modules rather than replaced.

L0.0

LitCommerce is running a migration land-grab on inkFrog's shutdown, entirely through blog posts.

◆ Current state

Six entries, all marketing content, three of them aimed directly at inkFrog's June 1, 2026 shutdown: a switch pitch, a head-to-head comparison, and an alternatives roundup timed to the shutdown email sellers received on April 29. The rest is standard multichannel-selling SEO — eBay listing tool roundups, Walmart best-sellers, TikTok Shop alternatives. No product release appears anywhere.

◆ Where it's heading

The feed reads as an opportunistic acquisition campaign: a competitor is winding down with short notice, and LitCommerce is publishing the migration path in every search-shaped format it can. That is a go-to-market motion, not a product direction, and the feed carries no evidence of what the platform is shipping to absorb those sellers.

◆ Prediction

Expect more competitor-migration content while the inkFrog window is open. There is no release cadence in these entries to predict product moves from.
