What is Cloudflare Tunnel?

cloudflared's release feed is checksums and nothing else — until a release has to warn you off itself.

The tunnel daemon ships on a calendar-versioned cadence, roughly two to four releases a month. Nine of the last ten release bodies contain only SHA256 checksums for the packaged binaries across amd64, arm64, 386, arm, FIPS Linux and the macOS and Debian/RPM packages; no changelog text accompanies them. Whatever changed in a given version is not discoverable from this feed.

What is GravityKit?

GravityKit ships a weekly Launch Log, and the interesting work is buried inside it

GravityKit publishes a consolidated weekly Launch Log across its whole add-on suite rather than per-product release notes, so a single entry can carry a genuine new capability and a batch of compatibility fixes side by side. The recent run covers Google Sheets export in GravityExport, adaptive DataTables columns, calendar sync fixes, unions in Multiple Forms 0.7.0, rich text inline editing in GravityEdit, and a long tail of Gravity Forms 3.0 and WordPress 7.0 compatibility work. GravityView 3.0 in June, with the Vantage theme and AI-assisted View creation, remains the anchor release the suite is building on.

cloudflared's release feed is checksums and nothing else — until a release has to warn you off itself.

◆ Current state

The tunnel daemon ships on a calendar-versioned cadence, roughly two to four releases a month. Nine of the last ten release bodies contain only SHA256 checksums for the packaged binaries across amd64, arm64, 386, arm, FIPS Linux and the macOS and Debian/RPM packages; no changelog text accompanies them. Whatever changed in a given version is not discoverable from this feed.

◆ Where it's heading

The publishing pattern is stable and unlikely to change: release notes live elsewhere, and the feed functions as a distribution manifest. The one exception in this window is instructive — 2026.8.0 was amended after the fact to carry a known-issue warning, which is why it now carries a later timestamp than the 2026.8.1 release that superseded it. That is the only mechanism by which this feed communicates anything: a release gets edited when it turns out to be unsafe to run.

◆ Prediction

Expect continued checksum-only releases every two to three weeks, with substantive text appearing only when another regression forces a retroactive warning.

GravityKit ships a weekly Launch Log, and the interesting work is buried inside it

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

Two threads persist. One is making Views handle data they previously could not — unions stacking entries from many forms without a shared field or custom code, field-to-field filtering, distance sorting, 3D map viewport loading. The other is compatibility maintenance against a moving platform, with Gravity Forms 3.0 fixes appearing in four consecutive Launch Logs. The MCP work on Block MCP and GravityKit MCP has gone quiet since June, which makes the AI thread the least predictable part of the suite.

◆ Prediction

Expect the export and data-source work to keep widening now that Google Sheets is wired in, and the Gravity Forms 3.0 fix stream to taper as the compatibility surface is worked through. Whether the MCP add-ons get further investment is not readable from these entries.
