What is Casdoor?

Casdoor ships a version bump per commit, and the recent run is all tenancy hardening.

Casdoor tags a release on nearly every merge — ten versions between August 4 and August 10, most carrying a single commit. The recent run clusters on two threads: multi-tenant isolation (cross-organization webhook restrictions, organization checks on add APIs, Casbin group rules following user renames) and DingTalk integration repair. Individually each release is small; read together they are a sustained pass over organization boundaries.

What is Infisical?

PAM and PKI now take up most of the lines in Infisical's release notes.

Six releases in two weeks, each a flat PR list with no narrative. The recurring feature work is privileged access management — Redis account types and web access, filling account fields from a pasted connection string, machine identity access — and PKI, which gained AWS Private CA as an issuing authority and SCEP enrollment for Microsoft Intune. Secret management itself mostly appears as rotation coverage for Cloudflare API tokens and R2 access keys.

Casdoor ships a version bump per commit, and the recent run is all tenancy hardening.

◆ Current state

Casdoor tags a release on nearly every merge — ten versions between August 4 and August 10, most carrying a single commit. The recent run clusters on two threads: multi-tenant isolation (cross-organization webhook restrictions, organization checks on add APIs, Casbin group rules following user renames) and DingTalk integration repair. Individually each release is small; read together they are a sustained pass over organization boundaries.

◆ Where it's heading

The organization is becoming the unit of configuration. Record retention days, default token format, master-password hashing and LDAP visibility all became per-organization concerns inside a single week. That is the shape of a project hardening for multi-tenant deployment rather than adding end-user features, and the cross-organization webhook restriction in the newest release is the clearest statement of it so far.

◆ Prediction

Expect the per-organization configuration surface to keep growing and more cross-organization access checks on the remaining endpoints, since the last week has moved steadily in that direction. The per-commit release cadence means this will arrive as another ten small versions rather than one milestone.

PAM and PKI now take up most of the lines in Infisical's release notes.

◆ Current state

Six releases in two weeks, each a flat PR list with no narrative. The recurring feature work is privileged access management — Redis account types and web access, filling account fields from a pasted connection string, machine identity access — and PKI, which gained AWS Private CA as an issuing authority and SCEP enrollment for Microsoft Intune. Secret management itself mostly appears as rotation coverage for Cloudflare API tokens and R2 access keys.

◆ Where it's heading

Infisical is assembling a credential platform rather than a secrets store, and it is doing so without a single headline release — each pillar arrives as two or three PRs per version. PKI is furthest along: issuing from an external AWS authority and enrolling devices through Intune puts it in territory previously held by dedicated certificate products. A third thread, the agent proxy, is accumulating the parts a product needs before launch — a Google Workspace service template, last-used timestamps, and adoption telemetry for proxied services.

◆ Prediction

The agent proxy is the thread most likely to get a real announcement; service templates and usage telemetry landing now are the groundwork a launch requires.
