What is Canix?

Canix is shipping label and compliance depth while dark mode waits on a browser extension.

Canix, a seed-to-sale platform for cannabis operators, spent this window on labeling and data plumbing: label fields expanded to carry brand, ingredients, strain dominance, notes, and the top five cannabinoids auto-ranked from lab results, with barcodes and QR codes now available for Lot ID, tag number, and item SKU. The label editor itself gained font and color pickers, field locking, duplication, and absolute pixel sizing. New POST endpoints cover NCI creation and purchase order line items, and an AI uploader for historical sales orders is in beta. Dark mode was answered by pointing users at a third-party Chrome extension until a real implementation ships.

What is SureMembers?

SureMembers went from restricting content to running organizations — and to letting agents drive it.

Two months took this plugin well past content gating. Analytics arrived as its own tab in late June and was then wired back into the WordPress sidebar; MCP and WordPress Abilities landed in mid-June, making memberships and analytics reachable from AI workflows; and the late-July release added Team Accounts and Membership Variations, so a single buyer can hold seats for an organization. The most recent entry is translation and fix work on top of that.

E-COMM
5.0

Canix is shipping label and compliance depth while dark mode waits on a browser extension.

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

The work concentrates where cannabis compliance actually bites — labels that must carry state-mandated fields and scannable identifiers traceable back to lab results. Auto-ranking cannabinoids from lab data rather than making an operator type them is the pattern: pull regulated values from the system of record instead of trusting manual entry. The API and AI-upload work extends the same instinct to getting data in.

◆ Prediction

Expect the label system to keep absorbing state-specific requirements and the AI uploader to move from an assisted beta to self-service. Dark mode is acknowledged as coming, though the entries give no date.

S6.3

SureMembers went from restricting content to running organizations — and to letting agents drive it.

◆ Current state

Two months took this plugin well past content gating. Analytics arrived as its own tab in late June and was then wired back into the WordPress sidebar; MCP and WordPress Abilities landed in mid-June, making memberships and analytics reachable from AI workflows; and the late-July release added Team Accounts and Membership Variations, so a single buyer can hold seats for an organization. The most recent entry is translation and fix work on top of that.

◆ Where it's heading

The product is climbing from individual-subscriber sites toward the accounts that pay more — schools, agencies, businesses — while simultaneously exposing itself to agents rather than only to admins. Those two moves compound: once membership state is queryable and mutable through MCP, an organizational account structure is what makes the automation worth pointing at. The release cadence is fast and the version numbers on both Core and Pro are moving together, which suggests the two halves are being developed as one plan.

◆ Prediction

Team Accounts and Membership Variations create the obvious next gaps — seat assignment, per-seat billing, and organization-level roles — so expect that management layer next, likely surfaced through the same MCP path.
