OpenPanel
OpenPanel ships 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 within a day of 3.0, all supporter-first builds with no notes.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Calibre and HyperDX — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Calibre is tying every performance number back to the deploy that caused it.
The August release brings deployments into Real User Monitoring: deploy markers run along the bottom of charts, hovering one reveals the commit, author, and time, and clicking through opens the commit in source control, with each deployment compared against the previous. The same day, Synthetic metrics moved from one page at a time to median aggregates across all pages, segmented by test profile, deployment, and page — so a regression can be identified as site-wide or isolated. Before that: automatic measurement of soft navigations in single-page apps, a site-scan crawler that discovers and maintains the monitored page list on its own, self-service SAML SSO with SCIM on the Team plan, and an organisation-wide audit log that exports as NDJSON or streams to a SIEM over signed webhooks.
HyperDX now tags every ClickHouse query it runs, so teams can see which dashboard drives the load.
HyperDX ships as a monorepo of versioned packages (app, api, CLI, common-utils, collector), so one release shows up as several changelog entries. The 2.41.0 wave on October 13 adds PromQL heatmaps, a minimum auto granularity on PromQL sources, and query attribution: every ClickHouse and PromQL query carries an hdx- query_id and a JSON log_comment naming the dashboard, tile, search or alert behind it. The API also stops falling back to a public session secret, and AI assistant calls now emit OpenTelemetry GenAI-convention spans.

Calibre is closing the loop between a metric moving and someone knowing why. Deployment attribution supplies the cause, the all-pages segmentation supplies the scope, and soft-navigation measurement fills the blind spot that made SPA numbers untrustworthy in the first place. Running alongside that is a distinctly enterprise track — SSO, SCIM, and an audit log with SIEM streaming are procurement requirements, and putting SAML on the Team plan rather than reserving it for Company is a deliberate move down-market with them.
Expect deployment attribution to grow into alerting — a regression tied to a specific commit is the natural trigger for a notification, and the pieces are now all in place. How far the site-scan crawler is meant to replace manual page management is not yet clear from these entries.

Two threads continue: Grafana-style metrics parity (multi-expression PromQL, macros, granularity floors, now heatmaps) and controlling query cost on ClickHouse (bounded Map-key scans, now per-surface query attribution in system.query_log). Security defaults are being tightened for self-hosted deployments, and HyperDX is applying OpenTelemetry's GenAI conventions to its own AI features. The CLI keeps picking up the web app's chart types.
Expect query attribution to show up inside the product, for example per-dashboard cost views or limits, and more PromQL visualization types to catch up with the builder. The entries don't show a timeline for either.
