Tolgee
Tolgee ships four patch releases in a day, mostly security bumps and branching fixes.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Aviator and Duplicati — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Aviator moves from merging code to judging it: Verify checks PRs against their stated intent.
Aviator is a merge queue and stacked PR platform. On October 20 it introduced Verify, which checks each pull request against what the change is supposed to do and the team's standing rules, so reviewers weigh evidence instead of reading the whole diff. That follows the October 1 beta in which an LLM separates flaky check failures from real ones and keeps PRs queued, plus September's queue timing metrics and August's support for GitHub's native stacked PRs.
Duplicati can now restore from versioned storage as it looked at a past point in time.
The 2.4.0.105 canary adds --remote-point-in-time, which reads a versioned bucket as it was at a chosen time, read-only, so a damaged or tampered destination can be restored without manually copying old versions. Object-lock handling now detects unsupported destinations, and Duplicati Storage gains object locks and can act as a secondary destination.

The arc runs from moving PRs (MergeQueue, stacks, Inbox) to deciding whether they are correct. April exposed stacks to AI coding agents, October 1 put an LLM inside the queue, and Verify now puts one in front of review, with criteria the agent writes after building. Aviator is positioning itself as the control layer for agent-written code between commit and merge.
Expect Verify results to feed the merge queue as a gate, since the same company owns both steps. The entries give no timing, and the docs fragments suggest the feature is still early.

The 2.4 canaries keep pushing recoverability: restore tests, filelist recovery, Hyper-V and MSSQL as restorable sources, and now point-in-time reads against versioned storage. Together they target ransomware and corruption scenarios, while the stable 2.4.0.x line receives the fixes.
Expect these canary features to land in the next 2.4 stable release, with more work on Duplicati's own storage service.
