The releases themselves have been about reach: a Slack agent in July, then Operator and an Admin MCP in August that let an AI agent administer DocsBot itself. The newest entry breaks that pattern by giving the agent a phone line, turning an existing DocsBot into a voice receptionist that answers, captures details and transfers to a person.

Until now every DocsBot release widened where an agent could be reached from, but all of it was text in someone else's chat window. Voice is a different kind of expansion: it puts the same knowledge base in front of callers who never visit the site, and it makes latency, interruption and handoff into product problems the text surfaces never posed. The heavy evaluation content is consistent with a company selling trust as the differentiator, and voice raises exactly the failure modes that content is about.

Expect the escalation and citation machinery described in the marketing content to be retrofitted for voice, since a caller cannot inspect a source link the way a chat user can. Whether voice is priced separately from the existing bots is not visible in these entries.
