This is infrastructure maintenance aimed at self-hosted operators rather than feature development. Both the blob and doc-GC changes target reliability at scale: uploads that survive awkward storage configurations, reconciliation that survives interruption. That is what a self-hostable workspace needs before it can be trusted with large document sets, and nothing in the window signals a new capability.
With storage and GC stabilizing, the next stable minor is where any product news would appear; the canary stream itself gives no indication of what that release contains.
