The open-source CLI scanner is becoming the data layer for a paid agentic product. The 5.34.0 renaming made the split explicit — Prowler CLI and Prowler Hub stay open, while Cloud, Private Cloud, Lighthouse AI and MCP are the commercial surface — and every Lighthouse release since carries a subscription-only note. The technical bet is that RBAC is a sufficient safety boundary for an agent: Lighthouse can do whatever the asking user could do, which is what allows it to be handed administrative tools rather than read-only ones.
◆ Prediction
Expect the next Lighthouse releases to push into unattended operation — scheduled or event-triggered agent runs rather than chat-initiated ones — since scan scheduling and alert rules are now inside its reach.
