What is adaR?

An R binding to the ada URL parser, now maintained by a research-software group.

adaR wraps the ada-url C++ library to give R a WHATWG-compliant URL parser with vectorised accessors, setters and clearers for every URL component. The latest release is a performance improvement to ada_url_parse. Maintenance moved from an individual to the gesistsa organisation, which also bumped the vendored parser.

What is Workato?

Workato is rebuilding itself as governed agent infrastructure, not just an iPaaS.

Workato ships near-daily across three fronts that increasingly depend on each other: the MCP governance layer that went GA on 11 August (registry, tool annotations, named per-user tokens), the agent surface where Genies run inside Slack, Teams and now Workato GO, and the older integration business of connectors, data pipelines and formulas. The connector catalog remains the volume driver, with a monthly community batch and a separate platform batch. The most recent work is consolidation rather than new ground: Event Streams gains cross-workspace topic sharing under Automation HQ, and Workato GO reaches feature parity with the Slack and Teams channels.

0.0

An R binding to the ada URL parser, now maintained by a research-software group.

◆ Current state

adaR wraps the ada-url C++ library to give R a WHATWG-compliant URL parser with vectorised accessors, setters and clearers for every URL component. The latest release is a performance improvement to ada_url_parse. Maintenance moved from an individual to the gesistsa organisation, which also bumped the vendored parser.

◆ Where it's heading

The package reached feature completeness quickly — the accessor, setter and clearer families were all exported within months — and has since settled into tracking upstream ada-url and tuning parse speed. Note that this feed is backfilled out of order: the 0.1.0 initial release carries a later publication date than 0.3.0 and 0.3.1, so feed position does not reflect release sequence.

◆ Prediction

Expect continued ada-url version bumps and performance work; the API surface appears settled.

Workato is rebuilding itself as governed agent infrastructure, not just an iPaaS.

◆ Current state

◆ Where it's heading

The through-line is governance of things Workato does not itself control. The MCP registry made servers and tools discoverable and attributable; tool annotations let clients tell a routine read from a destructive write; named tokens replaced shared credentials with per-user attribution. Cross-workspace event sharing extends that pattern to the messaging layer, with an org-wide admin switch and per-workspace publish and subscribe grants rather than duplicated topics. The agent work is now mostly about making agent behavior legible — persistent tool-call streams in GO show each step a Genie takes, with plain-language labels instead of raw function names. Data Pipelines continues to accumulate ERP, finance and HR sources against warehouse destinations, but this month's entry is a connector-coverage restatement of the pipeline product that shipped in May.

◆ Prediction

Expect the annotation and attribution model to extend from MCP tools onto the agent actions themselves, so a Genie's tool-call stream carries the same destructive and read-only hints that already gate approval prompts. Continued monthly connector batches are the safest call in the set.
