An R binding to the ada URL parser, now maintained by a research-software group.
adaR wraps the ada-url C++ library to give R a WHATWG-compliant URL parser with vectorised accessors, setters and clearers for every URL component. The latest release is a performance improvement to ada_url_parse. Maintenance moved from an individual to the gesistsa organisation, which also bumped the vendored parser.

The cost side is being managed in the same window, with build-artifact storage moving into billed usage on September 1 and scheduled executions on free plans jittered to smooth load.
With the CLI, deployment path and MCP surface all rebuilt in one quarter, the next likely move is extending the same treatment to the remaining runtime — the entries point at cold-start and execution limits as the constraints still being worked around.
