Social tools reworked scheduling and bulk editing while two competitors' feeds stayed all content.
The week in marketing
Only two of the four social tools in this sector changed what they do this week. Statusbrew added bulk editing and image handling in Compose, and SocialBee announced an overhaul of how posts are scheduled. Metricool and Swello filled their changelog feeds with guides and webinar replays.
The change worth noting is scheduling. SocialBee is retiring Category Sequence and Random categories in favor of active categories and folding the Next Posts view into Calendar and List, while Statusbrew is making post variables editable in bulk.
Leaders
Statusbrew shipped the most concrete changes. The October 19 batch adds CSV download and upload for custom post variables across all profiles, a one-click Smart Crop for images that miss a network's aspect ratio, profile details in Planner search, clearer contact versus message tags in Engage and a searchable Brew AI translation list. Dutch is now supported in AI features for posts and Engage, and guests can comment in project Updates.
SocialBee made its first product change in months. After a summer of fixes for Threads, Pinterest and TikTok posting failures, it announced a scheduling overhaul rolling out over the coming weeks. A bug blocking deletion from the Content Categories page was fixed the same day.
Wildcards
Swello is a French scheduling tool whose newest entry is the replay of a webinar on its 2026 community manager survey, after an updated TikTok guide. Its last product release added 3:4 Instagram posts and CSV export of posts, and confirmed the comment and DM inbox is in beta.
Metricool did not change the product this week. Its feed is a TikTok audio download guide, return-on-ad-spend benchmarks and a YouTube automation explainer. The last visible product change was September's YouTube and Instagram metrics with approval workflows on the Advanced plan.
Themes that compounded
- Scheduling models were reworked in SocialBee and made more editable at Statusbrew.
- Changelog feeds turned into content marketing at Metricool and Swello.
- AI features widened language coverage at Statusbrew, which added Dutch.
Watch this week
SocialBee says its overhaul will roll out over the coming weeks, so expect follow-up notes or fixes as categories migrate to the active model. Statusbrew ships in small, frequent batches across Compose, Planner and Engage, which makes another Engage update likely. Swello has a comment and DM inbox in beta, and a status change on it would be its next product signal.
