Analytics assistants gained persistent memory as Holistics and OpenCTI tightened the modeling layer beneath.
The week in analytics
AI assistants in analytics products are acquiring memory. Chord gave Ask Chord persistent team memory across sessions, Keboola added admin-approved shared team memory to its Kai assistant, and Omni began accepting dashboards built in Claude. The assistant is no longer a stateless query box; it keeps context, and it takes input from other agents.
The second thread is the modeling and control layer under the dashboards. Holistics replaced its mode switch with branches and added a Data Lineage panel, OpenCTI added dashboard variables, and OpenHouse reverted a catalog change that broke table creation and listing. Teams are being asked to trust the numbers before they trust the assistant.
Leaders
Chord shipped the week's spark. Ask Chord can now write durable context back into its own knowledge base during a conversation and recall it later. On the CDP side, Amazon Conversions API joined the destination catalog for all workspaces, after OpenAI Ads, Reddit, Nosto, Dotdigital and Rokt.
Holistics released seven improvements. The newest surfaces field descriptions on table and pivot column headers for dashboard viewers, including on shareable and embed links. It follows a Data Lineage panel that traces dependencies in the IDE, a branch selector replacing the Production/Development switch and AML conversion to and from Apache Ossie.
TimescaleDB 2.31.0 vectorizes UPDATE and DELETE on compressed data, adds non-blocking movetocolumnstore() and previews an Adaptive Integer Compressor claiming up to 20% better integer compression. 2.30.0 made last-point LIMIT queries independent of chunk count.
Omni ships a weekly bundle. The week of October 12 let users send dashboards built in Claude into Omni and added API endpoints and MCP tool updates. Its September 14 release bundled dbt on Trino, embedded routines and MCP app-management tools.
OpenCTI added a UI for dashboard variables that widget filters can reference, and its chatbot now proxies the decks, reports and videos XTM One generates. The earlier weekly merged entities from the knowledge view.
Wildcards
ChartMogul introduced MRRaudit, a tool for explaining why MRR numbers don't match. It is the first named feature in its feed since February, and the October 12 "more actionable customer data" announcement still publishes no detail.
OpenHouse reverted v0.5.526 in v0.5.528 after downstream testing hit null-pointer failures on staged creates, CTAS and cluster-wide listing, plus bad tableUri values on commits.
OpenPanel went from 3.0.0 on October 16 to 3.9.0 on October 21, with three builds on October 20, all without release notes.
Themes that compounded
- Assistant memory arrived in Chord and Keboola.
- Lineage and modeling controls grew in Holistics and OpenCTI.
- Cadence outpaced documentation at OpenPanel, while OpenObserve promoted 1.1.0 to stable and followed with 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
- Security deprecations were set at Keboola, which ends emailing Storage API tokens on February 4, 2027.
Watch this week
OpenPanel has been tagging builds every day without notes, so another run of versions is likely. OpenHouse reverted a change to Iceberg property handling and moved on to batched job submission, which makes a retry of the original move possible. OpenObserve 1.1.x is in patch mode. ChartMogul's customer-data announcement may get a detail post.
