No-code platform for building customer portals and internal apps from spreadsheets

Stacker's AI agent has absorbed every part of app building except the data itself.

Current state
Stacker builds internal tools and customer portals on top of existing data. From late October 2025 the entire changelog is one project: an AI Builder Agent that generates and edits apps by conversation. In under seven weeks it went from generating initial pages and layouts to editing tables and fields, creating lookups, rollups and formulas, reshaping create forms, reordering navigation, building white-labelled external portals with custom domains and permissions, and finally taking a spreadsheet upload and configuring a schema and matching layouts from it.
Where it's heading
The sequencing is deliberate: each release hands the agent one more thing that previously required the no-code editor, while the company repeatedly reassures users that the full editor still works on AI-built apps. That dual framing — build by conversation, refine by hand — is the position Stacker is defending, and it is a reasonable answer to pure prompt-to-app tools that leave nothing to adjust afterwards. The portal release is the notable widening, since it points the agent at the external-user product rather than internal tools.
Prediction
Every surface except data connection has now been handed to the agent; connecting and mapping an external source — the step still done manually before any of this works — is the remaining gap, and the spreadsheet uploader is the first move toward closing it.

Upload your spreadsheet, let AI do the rest

A spreadsheet uploader that hands the file to the AI Builder, which infers a schema and generates matching layouts. The first release to point the agent at data ingestion rather than app structure, closing part of the setup step that still had to be done by hand.

Build customer portals using AI Agent

The AI Builder can now generate customer portals — white-labelled spaces with custom domains, logos and permissions for external users. It aims the agent at Stacker's external-facing product rather than internal tools, but portals themselves are long-standing capability.

Reorder your navigation with a conversation

Navigation order and icon choice become things you describe to the agent rather than drag into place. One more editor task handed over, and among the smallest in the sequence.

    Manage create forms with AI

Create forms can be edited by asking the agent to add or remove fields, with a preview of what end users will see. Continues the pattern of moving one configuration surface at a time under conversational control.

Ask the AI Builder Agent to bring in data from other tables

Lookups, rollups and formula fields can be created by describing what data should come across from linked tables. More consequential than the layout work — these are the relational constructs users most often get wrong by hand.

Build faster with AI and No-Code, together.

Explicit framing that AI generation and the no-code editor work together — chat to create, then edit layouts, logic and data by hand. Positioning as much as feature, and the argument Stacker is making against prompt-only app generators.
