Signal Desktop's beta returns to fix-only notes a week after its unread-filter release.

◆Current state
Signal Desktop ships a beta roughly weekly, and most builds since September have carried only generic fix notes. v8.32.0-beta.1 was the exception, extending the unread filter into folders and search and making uploads sturdier on poor connections; v8.33.0-beta.1 goes back to boilerplate. The previous visible gain was lighter CPU use in video calls on October 1.
◆Where it's heading
After a summer of group-admin features, polls and member search, the desktop app is in a stabilization phase focused on calls, notifications and inbox triage. Visible changes arrive every two or three betas, in small increments rather than a headline release.
◆Prediction
Expect more fix-only betas with an occasional inbox-organization or reliability tweak; the entries do not show a larger feature in progress.
