Multi-platform live streaming and restreaming platform

Restream is pushing past creator multistreaming into webinars and agent control.

multistreamingmcpagent-nativewebinarsclipspublic-api
Current state
The core multistreaming product is now surrounded by three distinct expansions: a clips pipeline that ingests public Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive links and autoposts highlights above a chosen virality score; a public API exposing viewer and chat analytics per destination; and an MCP server that lets an AI assistant drive streams in plain language. Destination coverage keeps widening at the edges, with Patreon, Rumble, and embedded web players all promoted to first-class channels. Cadence is steady at roughly one substantive change a week.
Where it's heading
Two moves stand out against the routine destination-adding. The Slack town hall and webinar release aims the existing Studio at internal and B2B video, a different buyer from the creators Restream was built for. The MCP server aims the opposite direction, making the product addressable by agents rather than through its own interface, with Studio, Clips, and upload tools named as next. Together with the public analytics API, the pattern is a product deciding it is infrastructure as much as an application.
Prediction
The stated MCP roadmap covering Studio, Clips, and video uploads is the most concrete next step, likely arriving alongside the promised one-click connection apps.

    Publish Restream Clips to Rumble

Clips can now publish straight to Rumble, adding another short-form destination to the autoposting pipeline. It follows the same pattern as the Patreon and embed-player additions, with the clips and streaming surfaces absorbing destinations one at a time.

Host live webinars and Slack townhalls

    ⚡ SPARK

Webinars and Slack town halls run on the existing Restream Studio, streamed to any public Slack channel with moderated real-time chat or shared through a public link. It is the clearest step away from the creator multistreaming Restream is known for and toward internal and B2B video.

  3. 23d ago

Create Clips from public video links

Clips can be created from public Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive links by pasting a URL, so source footage no longer has to come from a Restream broadcast. It widens the clips tool from a livestream byproduct into a general short-form editor.

    Generate more clips in projects

Already-processed projects can yield further clips, either cut exactly to a selected timeline range or handed to AI to pull highlights from that range. It addresses the obvious limit of one-shot automated clipping without changing what the feature is.

Automate your workflow with Restream MCP Server

    ⚡ SPARK

An MCP server exposes stream setup, scheduling, destination management across 30-plus platforms, and post-stream analytics to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor through a single pasted URL. Paired with the public analytics API, it marks Restream treating its product as something other software drives, not only something users click.

    Update stream details with AI

Title and description updates can now target selected channels rather than every compatible one, with AI generating variations using the current title as the prompt. A control refinement on the multistream fan-out, alongside clearer surfacing of channels whose titles are managed externally.
