Planable is opening its whole workflow to agents while keeping a human on the publish button

Current state
Planable has widened on three fronts at once: channel coverage (Facebook Stories, Google Business Profile video, LinkedIn mobile tagging), a Competitor Analytics add-on that now spans Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn, and an MCP connector plus API v2 that expose campaigns, custom views and competitor data to external callers. The approval flow sits underneath all of it — work an agent builds still lands as a draft.
Where it's heading
The notable move is that Planable is treating its approval gate as the thing worth keeping while everything upstream becomes automatable. MCP is on every plan while the public API stays on Pro and Enterprise, which reads as a bet that agent access drives adoption rather than revenue on its own. Analytics is being built as a benchmarking product rather than a reporting one — competitor feeds and trend lines, not just your own numbers.
Prediction
Competitor Analytics looks set to keep absorbing networks until it matches the publishing channel list. The Instagram-only AI content label should follow other platforms as they open third-party access, which the entry names as the current blocker.

Competitor analytics: now with YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn

Competitor Analytics launched on Instagram and Facebook and now covers YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn with the same comparison table, trend chart and top-post feed. The add-on is being widened toward parity with Planable's publishing channels rather than deepened.

MCP and API v2, including campaigns, custom views, and competitors in Analytics

    ⚡ SPARK

The MCP connector and public API now reach campaigns, custom views and competitor analytics, so an agent can assemble most of a social program. Everything it produces still enters the approval flow as a draft, which is the constraint Planable has chosen to keep while automating the rest.

    AI content labeling for Instagram

Instagram's AI-content label can be toggled per post and publishes with the content. Compliance plumbing rather than a feature, but tracking platform rules as they land is what keeps a scheduler usable.

    Schedule and publish Facebook stories

Facebook Stories join Instagram Stories on a shared canvas, with the same direct-publish or publish-via-mobile split. Straight channel-coverage work, the steadiest thread in Planable's release history.

Schedule and publish videos on Google Business Profile

Video for Google Business Profile drops into the same content calendar and approval flow as every other channel, aimed at local and multi-location brands. Another case of coverage widening while the core stays put.

    AI-Generated ALT Text

AI writes or rewrites image ALT text, and ALT set once on a Media Library asset now carries to every post using that file. The asset-level inheritance is the more useful half.
