Merge

INFRA · APIS
Velocity5.0

Merge's weekly cadence is all connector depth: no new categories, no agent surface.

unified-apiintegrationssync-reliabilityaccountingconnector-depthembedded-onboarding
Current state
Merge ships a dated digest every week, and for the last three months the contents have been uniform: per-connector mapping fixes, pagination and sync-reliability work, and incremental field coverage across Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SharePoint and QuickBooks Online. The one product-surface change in the window is per-integration customization of the Link setup flow, which lets customers hide auth steps and the Selective Sync screen for specific integrations. Everything else is fidelity work on integrations Merge already supports.
Where it's heading
The arc points at depth over breadth. Merge is spending its release budget making existing connectors survive large accounts — big item catalogs, user-defined dimensions, high attachment volumes — rather than adding new verticals. Accounting and File Storage absorb most of each week's entries, with ATS and CRM getting steady but thinner attention, and nothing in the window suggests a change to the unified-API model itself.
Prediction
Expect the next several digests to continue the Sage Intacct, NetSuite and SharePoint deepening, with further Link-flow configuration options as the main user-visible additions. The entries give no signal either way on whether Merge plans an agent- or MCP-facing surface.

Recent moves

  1. 12d ago

QuickBooks webhook format support, NetSuite and Sage speedups

Merge adds support for QuickBooks Online's updated webhook format and cuts sync time for NetSuite accounts that have item syncs disabled. Same pattern as the rest of the quarter: keeping high-volume accounting connectors current and fast rather than extending the surface.

  2. 19d ago

Link setup flow becomes configurable per integration

Customers can now hide individual auth and configuration steps and switch off the Selective Sync screen for specific integrations while it keeps running in the background. It is the only change in the three-month window that touches the embedded onboarding surface end users actually see.

  3. 26d ago

Sync error and pagination fixes across Greenhouse, Lever, SharePoint

A full week of edge-case and error-handling repairs: attachment downloads, stalled candidate syncs, Zoho CRM pagination, SharePoint search validation. Maintenance customers notice only as fewer failed syncs.

  4. 1mo ago

Xero attachments accept Base64 uploads; NetSuite filter fix

Xero attachment uploads no longer require a publicly hosted file URL, and NetSuite tracking-category filtering stops dropping records when filtered by name. Small capabilities bolted onto connectors Merge already runs, consistent with the quarter's depth-over-breadth pattern.

  5. 1mo ago

New employee and expense filters; NetSuite single-subsidiary writes

Adds employee_id and email_address filters, extends NetSuite record creation to accounts configured with a single subsidiary, and surfaces SharePoint sensitivity labels. Coverage work that closes gaps in existing endpoints rather than opening new ones.

Direct Xero attachment uploads; Teams sensitivity labels

Receipt and invoice files can be uploaded to Merge directly instead of being hosted at a public URL, and Microsoft Teams message syncs gain sensitivity-label support. The compliance-metadata thread running through this quarter shows up in both Accounting and Chat here.
