Messenger-based sales CRM with pipelines, chatbots and WhatsApp integration

Kommo's developer API keeps widening its grip on chat channels and Salesbots

◆Current state
Kommo is a messenger-first CRM, and its developer changelog is a steady run of API additions around conversations. July brought a conversations list endpoint, an outgoing-message webhook and a Chats API add-on for reading and sending messages in external chats, followed by file attachments on message sending. Since then the changes have been smaller: a lead subscribers endpoint, a widget method that opens its own settings modal, and documentation on tying sources to chat channels through origin_code.
◆Where it's heading
The API is being opened up so integrators can drive Kommo's chat inbox and Salesbot automation from outside, not just sync CRM records. The pace has slowed from July's batch of chat endpoints to documentation clarifications and single endpoints.
◆Prediction
The entries point to more endpoints around Salesbots and external chats, but the recent pace suggests small additions rather than a new API surface soon.

    Linking sources to a chat channel update

    A documentation update clarifying that sources without an origin_code attach to every displayed chat channel. It refines the August guidance and changes no behavior.

    Widget API adds openWidgetSettings() method

    Widgets can now open their own settings modal through self.openWidgetSettings(), with an onClose callback. A small but real convenience for marketplace widget developers.

    Linking sources to a chat channel

    New guidance explains that sources must carry an origin_code to appear in Write First and Salesbot. It documents a requirement that likely tripped integrators building chat channels.

    Lead subscribers API endpoint

    A new endpoint returns a lead's subscribers. It fills a gap in the leads API rather than opening new ground.

    Send message to conversation API update

    The send-message endpoint now accepts file attachments from Kommo's drive. It makes the July Chats API usable for more than plain text replies.

    Chats API add-on

    The Chats API add-on lets integrations read and send messages in external chats, with new scopes to govern access. It is the biggest step in Kommo's push to expose its messaging inbox to outside developers.
