Online marketing platform with email, landing pages, and automation

GetResponse is rebuilding itself as an ecommerce revenue tool, not an email sender.

Current state
Nearly every shipped feature over the last four months targets online stores rather than general email marketing. Shopify is the anchor integration — customer tags sync automatically, price-drop and abandoned-cart campaigns are first-class, and product recommendations are built in. The segmentation work has moved the same direction, from generic pre-built audiences in April to thirteen store-specific segments in August.
Where it's heading
The pivot point is revenue attribution: once every message, workflow and channel carries a real revenue number, GetResponse stops competing on send volume and starts competing on attributed sales. Everything since has been filling in the ecommerce surface that attribution makes legible — segments you can act on, tags pulled from the store, UTM tracking wired into ecommerce campaigns. AI is present but supporting, currently limited to campaign analysis rather than generation.
Prediction
Expect the ecommerce segment library to grow into full pre-built automation flows, and for the Shopify data sync to be matched by at least one more major store platform.

13 ready-made ecommerce segments, already built

Thirteen store-specific segments — abandoned cart, repeat buyers, first-time buyers — ship ready to use once a store is connected. This is the April pre-built segments idea narrowed to ecommerce, and it removes the segment-building step that sat between connecting a store and sending to it.

AI Insights now exports to PDF

Campaign performance analysis can now leave the product as a PDF. A small addition, but it points at who the AI analysis is actually for — marketers reporting upward, not marketers editing in place.

What's New at GetResponse: Product Recommendations, Price Drops & Shopify Sync

A roundup bundling product recommendations, price-drop campaigns and Shopify sync into one announcement. Individually incremental, together they mark the point where the ecommerce feature set became the headline rather than an add-on.

Shopify merchants are now using their customer tags in GetResponse

Shopify customer tags — VIPs, repeat buyers, lapsed customers — sync automatically on paid plans and can drive segments, personalization and automation triggers. GetResponse is choosing to inherit the store's own customer model rather than ask marketers to rebuild it.

[Pre-built segments] Skip the setup, send to the right people

Ready-made audiences across engagement, signup source, contact details and list quality remove the rule-building step for common cases. This is the generic version of the pattern that later ships as ecommerce-specific segments in August.

See exactly how much revenue your emails are generating

    ⚡ SPARK

Revenue attribution ties each message, workflow and channel to the orders it produced. This is the release the rest of the ecommerce arc hangs off — segments, tags and store sync all become measurable the moment revenue is attached to them.
