◆Current state
CryptPad releases on a seasonal calendar with patch releases between. The Winter release moved office applications to OnlyOffice 9 and finally gave them the same full history browsing the other apps had; Spring rebuilt the Diagram app on Drawio 29, defaulting to an infinite sketch canvas with a switcher back to the fuller mode. Both were followed within weeks by fix releases addressing office document corruption, missing realtime channels and history loading.
◆Where it's heading
The pattern across a year is a feature release followed by repair work concentrated in the same place: the OnlyOffice integration. Corruption fixes, disappearing sheets, pinning and rtChannel bugs, history failures — office documents are where an encrypted collaboration suite is hardest and where most of the effort goes. The rest of the work is steady and unglamorous: accessibility for forms and dialogs, an icon system moved off Fontawesome 4.7 to Lucide, websocket leaks, rate-limiting guidance for operators.
◆Prediction
The established rhythm points to a summer release followed by its own fix release, with office document handling the most likely subject of both. Nothing in these entries signals a change of scope.

    The Diagram app is rebuilt on Drawio 29 and now opens on a sketch-mode infinite canvas, with a switcher for people who want the fuller toolset. Private message notifications and form accessibility work round it out.

    ❄️🩹 Winter fix release (2026.2.1)

    A substantial patch: missing realtime channels in office documents, OnlyOffice moved to 9.2.0.119+5, websocket connection leaks on forms, and duplicate RESET commands in the pin log. It also makes moderator privacy the default in the help desk and adds rate limiting to the nginx example config.

    Office applications move to OnlyOffice 9 and gain the full history browsing the rest of CryptPad already had — until now it was limited. The drive's folder tree is redesigned, and forms gain required poll questions.

    🍁 Autumn release (2025.9.0)

    Clears a long-standing debt by replacing every icon from Fontawesome 4.7 with Lucide, alongside a redesigned loading screen. The fixes underneath are the familiar ones — office document corruption on server issues, disappearing sheets, form conditionals.
