ANALYTICS
Velocity0.0

Real-time market research and consumer insights platform for surveys and brand tracking.

Appinio is layering AI across the research workflow, from survey draft to reusable insight.

Current state
Appinio is steadily wrapping its survey platform in AI: importing drafts from any document format, generating sentiment and multi-question insights on results, and turning past studies into a queryable knowledge base. The non-AI work is polish — dark mode, white-labeled sharing, flexible KPI displays, richer significance testing — aimed at making the tool presentable to stakeholders. The shape is a research tool trying to compress the distance between fielding a survey and acting on it.
Where it's heading
Direction is toward AI handling the tedious ends of research: setup and synthesis. The questionnaire importer removes data entry at the front; sentiment analysis and the cross-survey knowledge base remove manual reading at the back. If the knowledge base graduates from beta, Appinio shifts from a per-study tool toward an institutional research memory.
Prediction
Expect the beta knowledge base to reach general availability and connect to the AI insights engine, so users query across all historical surveys rather than analyzing one at a time.

    AI-Powered Questionnaire Importer

The AI questionnaire importer attacks the front end of the workflow: drag in a Word, Excel, PDF, or PowerPoint draft and it becomes a formatted, launchable survey. It fits the arc of using AI to remove manual setup, complementing the synthesis-side AI features shipped earlier in the year. Useful friction removal rather than a new capability surface.

    Hello, Dark Mode 🌚

Dark mode is a cosmetic preference with no effect on the research workflow. It signals attention to everyday UX polish but carries no analytical weight.

Additional KPIs, clearer insights | Top-bottom 3–5 metrics, sorted your way

Configurable top/bottom 3-5 KPI displays with custom sorting sharpen how Matrix and Likert results summarize at a glance. It is incremental reporting flexibility that supports the broader goal of making results faster to read and present.

White-labeled public links | Share insights under your own brand

White-labeled public links let users share results without Appinio branding, aimed squarely at agencies and teams presenting to clients and stakeholders. It is a presentation-layer improvement that broadens who Appinio output can be shown to, not a change in analytical capability.

Sentiment Analysis | Add emotional context to open-ended questions

One-click sentiment analysis turns open-ended responses into positive/neutral/negative signals visualized as a chart, filterable like any other result. It is a substantive addition to the AI-synthesis side of the product, extending automated analysis from structured data into free text. Strong but discrete — one new analysis type rather than a directional shift.

All your research, now your own knowledge base

    ⚡ SPARK

The cross-survey knowledge base (beta) lets users ask one question and get themes, summaries, and linked insights drawn from all past surveys. It is the most directional move in the set: it reframes Appinio from a tool for running individual studies into a persistent, queryable research memory.
