The OAuth rework moving token handling fully server-side, behind an opt-in Accounts_OAuth_Use_Modern_Flow toggle, is the same instinct applied to authentication.

Expect 8.7.0 to reach GA with the rc.0 feature set essentially unchanged, since five candidates have added no new capability. The AI Center is the thing to watch: it was introduced as configuration scaffolding, which usually means more AI features are queued to plug into it.
