Skipper
Skipper closes an SSRF hole in its routes annotation and trims HTTP cache allocations.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of OpenStatus and StatusPal — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
OpenStatus grows from uptime checks into incident management, from Slack, dashboard or API.
OpenStatus spent October building incident handling on top of its monitors: an Incident API on Oct 2 to declare and run incidents with timelines and postmortems, a status report timeline with an inline composer, dated progress notes on maintenance windows, and on Oct 15 full incident management from Slack or the dashboard. September brought OAuth for its MCP server, a Monitor Pack add-on and searchable response logs.
StatusPal Classic gets reliable auto-incidents while Next adds Critical incident templates.
StatusPal runs two tracks: Next gets the structural work and Classic gets reliability fixes. On November 3, Classic's Monitoring V2 checks started opening and closing incidents automatically when auto-creation is on, and service migrations no longer fail on webhook subscribers that are connected elsewhere. Next added notice templates for Critical incidents next to Minor and Major. In October, Next added adjustable incident history, service groups and maintenance reminders.

The product is moving from monitoring and status pages into the incident lifecycle that follows an alert, with every step reachable from the API or an agent. That puts it closer to on-call and incident tools than to plain uptime checkers.
On-call scheduling or paging is the gap left after incident management; the entries do not confirm it is planned.

Next keeps filling the gaps that hold large Classic accounts back, a few admin features per release. Classic is still fixing monitoring and migration behavior, which suggests customers are being moved between pages and onto Monitoring V2.
Expect more Next releases covering Classic features such as monitoring-driven incidents, and continued Classic fixes around migrations.
