Big Cartel
Big Cartel keeps removing small frictions from the seller's admin.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Nosto and Spryker — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Nosto puts its AI story into a product: hybrid vector search live, assistive features coming.
Nosto's feed is mostly marketing, with competitor guides on Constructor and Bloomreach, a Showroomprivé partnership and a Klaviyo partner tier. This week it finally carries a product launch. Nosto AI Search builds on Personalized Search with Hybrid Vector Search, available now, while Attribute Recognition, Query Refinements and AI Summaries are marked as coming soon.
Spryker takes Recurring Orders GA and builds an AI commerce layer into its B2B stack.
Release 202608.0 makes Recurring Orders generally available, letting buyers fix an upcoming order, change budgets and resolve exceptions without cancelling a schedule. It also adds Workflows in early access, plus storefront design system updates and an AI Dev SDK setup wizard. New documentation covers AI Commerce: a Storefront Assistant answering only from the shop catalog, a Back Office Assistant with four agents, and per-feature choice of OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or Anthropic.

September's survey on shoppers leaving for ChatGPT and Claude set up the launch, and the competitor pages followed it. Nosto is arguing that onsite search must keep up with assistants, while keeping the merchandising controls retailers already use. The available part today is one retrieval upgrade; the conversational part is still a promise.
The three coming-soon features are the obvious next releases. Expect more comparison pages aimed at search vendors while they ship.

Spryker is pairing B2B procurement depth with agent features. Recurring Orders and budget controls keep buyers inside governed purchasing, while Back Office agents can read orders and create or update discounts. Letting each AI feature choose its own provider keeps cost and model decisions with the customer.
Workflows and the AI Dev SDK wizard are both early access, so they are the likeliest candidates for general availability in a coming release. The entries do not say when.
