Honeycomb is working on the first ten minutes, not just the incident
Honeycomb's latest releases focus on getting new users to value quickly. A guided setup wizard recommends MCP as the route for sending data, and Data Pulse (Beta) then reads incoming telemetry, describes the system and suggests questions to ask. Canvas keeps deepening alongside this: agent replies link directly to the charts they generate, and the GitHub connector now authorizes once per team. Agents can also create SLO Burn Alerts and reset budgets through MCP.
TestingBot's autumn work is plumbing: a rebuilt tunnel and another bug-tracker link.
TestingBot runs a cross-browser and real-device cloud. October brought Tunnel v5, a rewrite of its local-testing tunnel with host allowlists, SSH host key checks, SOCKS5, Kerberos and PAC proxy support, self-contained builds without Java, and health endpoints with JSON logs. A Linear integration files bugs from manual sessions, and an iPhone Duo simulator lets teams test a foldable iPhone before Apple ships it. Vibium's agent-driven automation joined the grid in August and Mobilewright tests in October.

The agent-first direction now runs through onboarding as well as investigation. Recommending MCP over the OpenTelemetry SDK as the default path is the clearest signal yet that Honeycomb expects an agent to do the instrumentation. Write access for SLOs through MCP extends the same logic to alert management, while team-wide connectors remove setup work that each Canvas user previously had to repeat.
Data Pulse is in beta and is the obvious candidate for wider rollout, likely with more system types recognized. Further MCP write tools for monitoring objects would continue the pattern set by Burn Alerts.

The summer made the platform fit for teams; the autumn makes it fit for corporate networks and CI. Tunnel v5 targets the place enterprise trials usually stall, behind proxies and security reviews, and its config-file and environment-variable setup suits pipelines and Docker. The integration list keeps growing one tracker at a time, while the device catalogue continues its usual rotation.
Expect further CI-oriented tunnel and reporting work, and more automation frameworks on the grid alongside Mobilewright and Vibium. The Vibium MCP path has had no follow-up in these entries.
