The 0.45.1 fixes cluster entirely on the protocol work, which is the expected cost of parsing escape sequences other tools emit loosely. Notably, 0.45.1 also adds escape hatches — scroll_mode_sync and explicit_theme_hue — suggesting the new defaults were more opinionated than some users wanted.
