Slurm
Slurm 26.11 RC turns on the threadpool by default and splits containers into runtime plugins
A side-by-side editorial comparison of GitLab and Meta Box — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
GitLab is turning its platform into the context layer agents and security teams query, not just a code host.
GitLab's recent output centers on Orbit, now generally available, which links code, merge requests, pipelines, security findings and ownership in one queryable graph. The pitch runs on two tracks: agents get platform context instead of guessing from diffs, and security teams get vulnerability blast radius from a single query. Around that, GitLab is publishing remediation playbooks for third-party CVEs and positioning on regulatory themes like EU sovereignty.
Meta Box AIO 3.14 adds view previews, slug-free post URLs and login attempt limits.
Meta Box AIO 3.14 lets users preview a view before saving it, drop the post type slug from custom post URLs, and cap login attempts across all WordPress login forms. It follows October's Custom Model field and September's Builder UI for custom models and table columns, which extended the AI-agent data management Meta Box added in July.

The direction is clear: GitLab wants the data it already holds about the software lifecycle to be the input every agent, including outside ones, depends on. Duo Agent Platform is stretching beyond the IDE into business systems, and governance features are being framed around supervising agent activity. Security is the lead use case for selling that context.
Expect Orbit to surface inside more Duo agents and security workflows, likely with remediation steps that act on the blast-radius answers it returns. The sovereignty post hints at deployment and data-residency messaging, but the entries don't show a concrete product move there yet.

Meta Box is widening from a custom-fields plugin into a site-building toolkit: data modelling, block bindings, and now URL structure and login security. The bundle keeps absorbing jobs WordPress users would otherwise cover with separate plugins.
Expect more small site-management features folded into AIO alongside further custom-model work. The entries don't show whether the July AI-agent capability will get follow-up releases.
