Harbor
Harbor's patch train is now mostly about undoing regressions from its own security hardening.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Drone and Infisical — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Drone's source now ships as Harness Open Source, and it last released in August 2025.
Both tracked releases are tagged Harness Open Source from the harness/harness repo, which is where Drone's code now lives. v3.2.0 added Git LFS, PR revert, retargeting and Code Owner auto-assignment; v3.3.0 added favorite repos, tag protection rules and a fix for a Git LFS path-traversal issue. Nothing has shipped since August 2025.
Infisical puts secret changes on its global approval system and splits out secret scanning.
Infisical releases several times a week, mixing feature work with its v3 UI migration. v0.166.5 runs secret change requests through the global approval system, turns secret scanning into a standalone single-project product, imports nested JSON as folders and moves Agent Vault session logs to S3. The release before added Cloudflare Secrets Store and Keeper syncs and sent secret reminders through alert channels.

The product has moved from a CI engine toward a full code-hosting platform with PR workflows and branch/tag governance. The 14-month gap since v3.3.0 points to slow or paused open-source releases.
The entries give no sign of a next release; another quiet period is the base case.

The platform is converging on shared services: access approvals moved to the global approval system first, now secret changes have followed, and reminders run on alert channels. At the same time the product lineup is being separated, with secret scanning standing as its own product next to PAM, Certificate Manager and Agent Vault. Agent Vault keeps maturing behind the scenes with S3-backed session logs and setup guides.
Expect the remaining approval types to move onto the global system and more per-product packaging and billing changes. A firm Agent Vault GA date is not visible in these entries.
