Check coverage keeps widening underneath — outlier detection, composite keys, row-count and file-size ceilings — and the reporting layer moved from rmarkdown to Quarto, with existing 0.1.x databases auto-migrated on first run.

Expect the generated configs and the drift reports to converge, so a sniffed config can seed thresholds from the snapshot history rather than from defaults, plus continued growth in the numbered QC check catalogue.

Umbrel is building a desktop metaphor on top of a personal server: 1.5 added encrypted backups, file history and GPU acceleration, and 1.7 adds shortcuts, a text editor and network shares. At the same time, shipping a full operating system means inheriting the kernel's vulnerability schedule, and two of the four releases in this window exist solely because of it. That is the ongoing cost of the model.
