What is Dashy?

After the 4.5.0 drag-and-drop release, Dashy has settled into translations and dependency patches

Dashy's 4.5.0 release was the substantive one — drag-and-drop editing of sections, items and widgets, a rebuilt GitHub stats widget on the official API, and richer number formatting in the custom-api widget. Everything since has been a single-PR patch release: two community translation contributions, three dependency bump batches, an out-of-memory fix from unclosed connection listeners, and OIDC post-logout redirect support. The tail is quiet by design rather than stalled.

What is Infisical?

PAM and PKI now take up most of the lines in Infisical's release notes.

Six releases in two weeks, each a flat PR list with no narrative. The recurring feature work is privileged access management — Redis account types and web access, filling account fields from a pasted connection string, machine identity access — and PKI, which gained AWS Private CA as an issuing authority and SCEP enrollment for Microsoft Intune. Secret management itself mostly appears as rotation coverage for Cloudflare API tokens and R2 access keys.

After the 4.5.0 drag-and-drop release, Dashy has settled into translations and dependency patches

◆ Current state

Dashy's 4.5.0 release was the substantive one — drag-and-drop editing of sections, items and widgets, a rebuilt GitHub stats widget on the official API, and richer number formatting in the custom-api widget. Everything since has been a single-PR patch release: two community translation contributions, three dependency bump batches, an out-of-memory fix from unclosed connection listeners, and OIDC post-logout redirect support. The tail is quiet by design rather than stalled.

◆ Where it's heading

The project is in the consolidation phase that follows a feature release, shipping one PR per version at a steady clip. Two threads still show forward motion: authentication is being rounded out, with OIDC post-logout redirects following the logout redirect option added in 4.5.0, and translation coverage is being filled in by contributors rather than maintainers. The widget system remains where the feature energy goes when it returns.

◆ Prediction

Expect the single-PR patch cadence to continue until enough widget or editing work accumulates for a 4.6 line. The OIDC additions suggest self-hosted single sign-on is the area most likely to see the next real feature.

◆ Current state

Six releases in two weeks, each a flat PR list with no narrative. The recurring feature work is privileged access management — Redis account types and web access, filling account fields from a pasted connection string, machine identity access — and PKI, which gained AWS Private CA as an issuing authority and SCEP enrollment for Microsoft Intune. Secret management itself mostly appears as rotation coverage for Cloudflare API tokens and R2 access keys.

◆ Where it's heading

Infisical is assembling a credential platform rather than a secrets store, and it is doing so without a single headline release — each pillar arrives as two or three PRs per version. PKI is furthest along: issuing from an external AWS authority and enrolling devices through Intune puts it in territory previously held by dedicated certificate products. A third thread, the agent proxy, is accumulating the parts a product needs before launch — a Google Workspace service template, last-used timestamps, and adoption telemetry for proxied services.

◆ Prediction

The agent proxy is the thread most likely to get a real announcement; service templates and usage telemetry landing now are the groundwork a launch requires.
