Envoy security releases set the schedule, and Contour's job is to bump, verify compatibility and ship across every supported branch simultaneously. The changes that do originate in Contour are operational sharp edges found in production: an HTTPProxy CRD schema wrongly marking a status error field as required, which broke load balancer status updates, and shutdown-manager being CPU-throttled at a 50m limit.
◆ Prediction
The next release will almost certainly be another simultaneous three-branch batch triggered by an Envoy security bump, since both batches in this window followed exactly that pattern.

Resend is converging on a fully API-first email infrastructure platform. The MCP server integration with webhooks is a deliberate move toward the AI-native developer toolchain, signaling that Resend sees infrastructure automation and LLM-driven workflows as a real use case, not a footnote. The SSO addition on September 1 continues enterprise expansion. With API parity nearing completion, the next surface to fill is analytics — open rates, bounce rates, and delivery event streams are not yet exposed programmatically.
◆ Prediction
Full broadcast analytics via API is the most visible gap remaining — List Clicked Links shipped September 15, which is one piece, but open-rate and delivery-event endpoints are likely next. A webhook event stream or subscription API would round out the headless infrastructure story.
