Chord is turning its analytics assistant into something with memory, and now feeding it more sources
Chord is a commerce data platform whose fortnightly release notes are dominated by one thing: the assistant formerly called Copilot, renamed Ask Chord in August. Over the last quarter it has accumulated persistent chat history and shareable conversations, grounding in customer business definitions, enriched context, per-answer reactions, and most significantly a shared team memory it can write to mid-conversation. The underlying data platform work continues in parallel, with ingestion connectors arriving one source at a time.
What is ManageEngine ADManager Plus?
ADManager Plus opened to third-party identity apps in January, then shipped six months of fixes.
Six builds since late January, and five are almost entirely defect work: scheduled reports failing to send as email content, mobile app logins on iOS and Android, CPU spikes after upgrade, a broken Log360 SOAR integration, M365 automation-policy tasks failing, and a JRE bump to 11.86.19. The exceptions are Build 8036, which added Security group type to the M365 Modify Single Group action, and Build 8034, which introduced Marketplace Extensions so administrators can install third-party application extensions and manage identities in those applications from inside ADManager Plus.

The data-source work underneath is the other half — every new fully supported connector widens what the assistant can be asked about, which is why a support platform landing in Chord's own ingestion matters more than a routine integration would. Entry titles are date ranges, so the headline work is only visible inside the body.

Expect the connector cadence to continue with the assistant as the justification, and expect team memory to grow governance — who can write to it, and how a definition gets corrected once wrong context is stored.

What follows is a maintenance train — roughly one build every six to eight weeks, carrying fix roll-ups and one security patch — which reads as a mature on-premises product prioritising stability for existing installs over new surface.
