Cortex 1.22 is on its fourth candidate, with sharded Parquet and years of deprecated flags removed.

Lighthouse 13.6 shifts Calibre's scores and adds audits for how AI agents read your pages
Calibre's Test Agents moved to Chrome 156 and Lighthouse 13.6.0, which fixes how simulated throttling calculates LCP and FCP, so scores on PageSpeed Desktop and PageSpeed Mobile Test Profiles should mostly improve with no site change. Snapshots also gained Lighthouse's Agentic Browsing audits, covering the accessibility tree, WebMCP, llms.txt and ARD manifests, a category Google marks as under development. In September the free Core Web Vitals Test added four experimental CrUX ad metrics. August's work attached deployment markers to RUM charts and added all-pages Synthetic aggregates.
Fluent Bit spends October bounding what its inputs will accept.
Fluent Bit's last three 5.1 releases are mostly hardening. 5.1.3 validates OTLP log protobuf depth and fixes out_s3 heap corruption; 5.1.4 limits OTLP gRPC decompression and budgets msgpack objects on forward input; 5.1.5 bounds MessagePack reads into Lua and mitigates CRLF injection in HTTP headers. Features still land between them, including protobuf for the Kafka schema registry, a CRL file option for TLS and Chronicle API support. 5.0.x is taking backports only.

Calibre remains focused on explaining why a metric moved, and this release shows the hard case: the number can move because the test changed. Tracking new browser and Lighthouse data quickly is part of the product, as the same-day CrUX ad metrics showed. Agentic Browsing audits add a new question to a performance tool, whether agents can use a page, which is still early.
Expect deployment attribution to grow into alerting, since a regression tied to a commit is the natural trigger. Agentic Browsing audits should keep changing with Lighthouse, so Calibre's treatment of them depends on Google's direction.

The pattern has shifted from the depth-first feature work on GCS and eBPF in August and September to input safety across the agent. The mitigations cover many separate plugins rather than one bad component, which reads as a systematic audit of untrusted data paths. Fluent Bit sits on the path of data it does not control, which is where a collector's risk lies.
Expect further releases on the same pattern, mixing mitigations with connector additions. The eBPF trace expansion noted earlier does not appear in these notes, so its next step is unclear.
