GeoServer
GeoServer's October round is maintenance only: 3.0.2 fixes OGC API conformance and FIPS login.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Betaflight and PgBouncer — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Betaflight grew a real autopilot: waypoint missions, geofence RTH and MAVLink ground control
Betaflight runs two lines at once. The 2025.12.x branch is maintenance: UART interrupt handling, MSP race conditions, failsafe clamping and board-target refreshes. The 2026.6 line, released as 2026.6.1 in August, carries an AUTOPILOT mode with flight plans, CLI waypoint commands, geofence return-to-home and LAND loiter, plus a DroneCAN stack and MAVLink ground control. 2026.6.2 in September backported a single I2C guard fix.
PgBouncer patches a SCRAM flaw that let a known user log in as an admin
PgBouncer's 1.26 line pairs features with a heavy security load. 1.26.0 tracks search_path and default_transaction_read_only by default, so one client's SET no longer leaks to others in transaction pooling, adds pool_idle_timeout and per-user query_wait_timeout, and removes the old online-restart takeover in favour of rolling restarts. It also fixed three CVEs. Three weeks later, 1.26.1 fixed three more, including one where a user with a password in auth_file could log in as any other SCRAM user, admins included.

The autopilot work is not a single feature but a rebuild of how the firmware handles position: the release notes show position control unified on a velocity primitive and the existing GPS rescue reimplemented as a flight-plan mission rather than a special case. That direction pulls hardware integration along with it — DroneCAN node allocation, GNSS Fix2, ESC telemetry and MAVLink ground-station handshaking are all things a manually flown craft does not need. The SITL harness gained fidelity and per-run session ids in the same releases, which is what you build when autonomous behaviour has to be regression-tested rather than test-flown.
With GPS rescue now running through the mission engine, the next releases on this line should concentrate on hardening that path — the release candidates already added an rx-loss policy, sanity checks and an arming gate for flight plans, and safety scaffolding of that kind usually keeps accumulating after the feature ships.

Since 1.25.1 every release has carried CVE fixes in the authentication and packet-handling paths, and 1.26.1 found a second instance of a bug class fixed weeks earlier. The project is auditing its pre-auth surface in public, while 1.26.0 shows it still cleaning up long-standing pooling surprises.
More security point releases are likely while the auth and buffer code is under review; the entries give no sign of the next feature release.
