Every piece of this fits one thesis: the control plane has to be fast enough and scriptable enough to sit inside an agent's inner loop. A 20x faster CLI matters when something calls it in a loop; runtime tool search in the MCP server matters because a full API surface will not fit a model's context; the Projects API matters because configuration becomes code. The cost side is being managed in the same window, with build-artifact storage moving into billed usage on September 1 and scheduled executions on free plans jittered to smooth load.
With the CLI, deployment path and MCP surface all rebuilt in one quarter, the next likely move is extending the same treatment to the remaining runtime — the entries point at cold-start and execution limits as the constraints still being worked around.

The package's real work is curation, and it has started treating endpoint rot as a first-class state rather than letting requests fail silently. Error handling and condition objects were hardened in the same release, which fits a client whose dominant failure mode is a city's server going away. Releases are small and roughly annual.
Expect the next release to be another catalogue pass — a city or two added, more moved to questioned or deprecated — rather than new API surface.
