Bitbucket fills out Agentic Pipelines with test agents, MCP access and Merge Queue APIs.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Appsmith and CodeRabbit — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Appsmith 2.6 starts the move off Temporal, with a real upgrade trap for EE self-hosters.
Appsmith v2.6.0 moves workflows to a new engine, and EE users must finish Temporal runs on v2.5.1 first; pending approvals from the old engine can stop the whole server from starting. It also fixes the Node.js Brotli vulnerability CVE-2026-111497, requires static Redis command names, tightens workspace and page-read permissions, and adds isNull, anyOf and like options to MCP structured SQL filters.
CodeRabbit moves its review status to a GitHub check run and keeps Deep Scan coverage fresh.
CodeRabbit is building a security product on top of its PR reviewer. October brought AI Deep Scan API access on all plans, linked-repo context, merge blocking on Security findings, runtime reproducers and now Delta Deep Scans that refresh changed or stale coverage between full scans. On the review side, the status now posts as a GitHub check run with per-stage timing.

Appsmith is shifting from bundling its own AI to being a governed target for external AI clients, and each release widens MCP a little while narrowing what it can reach. Self-hosters keep taking on upgrade work: first docker.env, now a workflow engine migration. Browser telemetry dropping for published-app users fits the same tightening.
The next release will likely extend MCP tool coverage again and bring follow-ups for engine transition problems; the entries don't give a date for dropping the MCP beta label.

Deep Scan is turning from a periodic audit into continuous coverage wired into merge gates. The review product is integrating deeper into GitHub's native primitives and reading other agents' config, such as Claude Code rules.
Expect Delta Deep Scans and runtime verification to extend beyond GitHub to GitLab, following the pattern of earlier triage and linking features.
